WINTER BLUES

 Jumper - New Look

I love and hate winter equally. Its always lovely to snuggle up, watch a film and drink hot chocolate, something that never feels as good when you do it in summer. I'm also not one of those people that hate the dark nights so I guess that's a plus :) However something that I do hate is winter fashion. So many people are like...obsessed with it? I don't understand.

Don't get me wrong, I always find scarves and gloves really cute with all their christmasy patterns and fur trimmings but when putting them on it's another story. Scarves makes my head looks massive and completely neck-less and gloves are just impractical, especially with Blackberrys and Iphones; it is just impossible!

Then you have coats. After making a massive effort with a cute new blouse and skirt, your then covering up your outfit with the same thing you'll wear most days for 4 months. They are also so ridiculously expensive and require a new one every year.

Lastly, there are jumpers. Unless your wearing one five sizes too small or something that resembles a long-sleeve top more than a jumper, they add about ten stone to your weight. You also have the problem of making sure the fabric isn't that stupidly itchy crap or the stuff that is so thin that you might as well be walking down the street naked. Saying that... I have a new addition :)

Its the kinda 'in' colour at the moment but slightly more red. It is also the softest jumper I own as well as being really thick. This one is a size 6 and it still comes up massive but not in a bad way at all; its the perfect jumper for those long winter days. I also wore it to Sixth form today with a shirt underneath and a skirt and it didn't look bad! I guess a gazillion hours of online shopping paid off for this one item. Hopefully I'll find another 'Winter Warmer' by next year...

  23. I love Winter for fashion. I love the idea of being able to wear as many clothes as I like and mixing and matching textures. But I think it is to do hugely with what suits you and your body etc. I love this jumper on you! I think us blondes need to wear red more often. I'm really drawn to anything that's a burgundy colour atm!XO

  25. I'm not a winter fashion person myself either. I live in Florida right now, so luckily it's not too much of an issue. I finally bought fingerless gloves with a mitten flap and that's made me very happy.

  26. looks so cosy! totally agree with you about gloves and things though. Where I live is so cold at the moment though - think i's going to have to invest in those gloves which you can still use your iPhone with when wearing! xoxo

  31. I'm the opposite, I'm having reeeeeal trouble finding things to wear for summer! Snuggly jumpers, long nights and sky high heating bills are my friend, apparently. Summer vest tops, sunburn and the do-i-don't-i debate over whether or not I'll need a coat that day is definitely the enemy x
