Marc Jacobs - Daisy - Sunshine

Recently I've seen a lot of blog posts featuring the new Marc Jacobs perfume 'Honey' but nothing about the new 'Sunshine' edition of the classic 'Daisy'. It has been out for a few months but very few people have heard of it, and the people that have say that the smell is gorgeous! So I thought I'd review it and let you know my thoughts.
I have to admit, the bottle was the first thing that drew me to this. With it's orange, pink and green lid (apologies for not showing the green flower clearly), being this seasons colours, it's already a great accessory to have on your dressing table or in your bag. It's bad really, judging a perfume on the way it looks, and makes absolutely no sense!
Describing the actual fragrance is a bit of a challenge; my descriptive vocabulary usually doesn't stretch far past 'nice', 'summery' or 'colourful'. I know that usually I go for quite musky perfumes (e.g. Calvin Klein - Euphoria) that have no hint of a floral scents. This sticks to my usual musky favourites but is also very light, and has some of those summer floraly smells  (I can't think of a better word). It's a very fresh smell and whilst it may be quite light and not too overpowering, it still lasts for the majority of the day (impressive considering one of my summer jobs is amongst the dirty plates and beer aromas in Wetherspoons.)
I'm still waiting for Lynx effect though; rumbling walls, shaking floors, a distant sound of warrior screams to suddenly reveal of a million topless men in a race against time to experience the smell in a much more personal and intimate way.

  1. This is worth it just to add a pretty addition to your dressing table. Impressed in stuck a day in Weatherspoons, not even many people manage that!
