Recovering From Post-Holiday Blues

As Summer is nearing to an end, it seems like there is bad case of post-holiday blues infecting the nation. The disease seems to be spreading like wildfire and the cure...well, scientists are apparently 'working on it'. So in the meantime, Jet2holidays have come up with a little pick-me-up, so we can focus on things other than darker mornings and mild frostbite.

I was sent a little box (which in itself is enough to put a smile on my face) of little goodies to help my case of post-holiday blues. It consisted of:
-A tan - to keep my holiday colour looking fresh, even on English shores.
-Moisturiser - to lock in that remaining colour and help my skin feel epic.
- Sweets - because who doesn't love a sweet treat?
-A postcard -  to offer a little positivity or to send on to a loved one and help them feel happier.
A Pizza Express Voucher - because if food doesn't make you feel better, you're not human.

I especially loved the postcard, as I think it's a wonderful way of injecting a little bit of happiness into every day life. Why not purchase a couple (Paperchase is great for this) and make a little inspiration montage? I particular love this one from Gh0stparties!

Personally, I think the best way to get over your post-holiday blues is to always have something booked in the diary! Whether it's a weekend of fun or just a couple of hours, having something to look forward to helps you combat Stay-In-Bed Syndrome and gives you a reason to spring out of bed every morning. Here's a couple of ideas, in case you're lacking:

- Book a weekend away with a friend/partner - with so many websites now offering great deals, there's no reason to not explore a new city. You can even keep it local and see what cities such as Leeds or Bath have to offer. I promise it will feel like a mini holiday!

- Pamper yourself - find a date that you can just make yourself feel awesome! Face masks, home manicures, candles - a pamper evening is a great way to feel rejuvenated.

Catch up - always have something on with your girlfriends that you can look forward to; cinema, dinner, shopping, Netflix night...nothing beats girls time for putting a smile on your face.

What do you think of Jet2holiday's post-holiday blues box? How do you get over your blues?

*I was sent this box for review purposes. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
